Brewster boys basketball teams dominate at Washington Middle School Championships

Posted

SPOKANE VALLEY – Brewster boys basketball teams ruled the court at the 12th Annual Washington Middle School Basketball Championships held March 14-16 in Spokane Valley. The Brewster teams came away from the three-day event with two championships and a runner-up finish, the only school that placed more than once in the winners’ circle.

Among the 15 divisions and 45 titles for boys from grades four through eight, the Brewster eighth and fourth-grade boys placed first, and the sixth-grade boys took second.

Between the girls who competed on March 7-9, and the boys a week later, more than 700 teams battled for a title in this year’s tournament.

The annual playoff is a qualifier-based tournament with two divisions (Club and School) and attracts the best middle school teams from all corners of Washington. The event features top-tier young athletes displaying their skills, teamwork, and determination on the court.
