CASHMERE – Cashmere High School students took a deep dive into career exploration during Career Week, held March 17-21. The event, themed "Ready, Set, Action," capped off a month-long advisory unit focused on self-discovery and career pathways.
Throughout the week, students engaged with recruiters, guest speakers, and industry professionals to explore education, training, and job opportunities.
The Career Expo on Thursday brought representatives from the United States Air Force, Central Washington University, Eastern Washington University, Grand Canyon University, Perry Tech, Wenatchee Valley College, Crunch Pak, and the Cashmere Swimming Pool, offering insight into post-high school options.
On Career Day Friday, students heard from 30 community speakers representing various professions and industries. Each student attended three sessions to hear real-life experiences and career advice. A group of 9th-12th graders also had the chance to visit the Washington Department of Transportation, where they learned about engineering projects and career opportunities in transportation infrastructure.
Career Week provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore their interests and connect with professionals, helping them take meaningful steps toward their future careers.
