WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Downtown Association (WDA) announced the launch of a new spring event based on a former local favorite. “Girls’ Night Out” is becoming the “Taste of Downtown,” and according to the Association’s statement, will feature everything that the previous event offered and more.
Calling it a “a curated experience of wine, food, and shopping in downtown Wenatchee,” the WDA is putting on the event on Saturday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where previously the event focused on women-centric tastes, it has been expanded in an effort to showcase everything that Downtown Wenatchee has to offer.
Eloise Sheets, the Marketing and Events Coordinator of the Wenatchee Downtown Association, was excited to announce the new outing. “This event is about giving people a true taste of what makes downtown Wenatchee so special. We’ve taken everything guests loved about Girls Night Out and expanded it to include more businesses, more flavors, and more fun.”
The event takes place downtown, of course, so it’s free and open to the public, but buying a ticket to the Taste of Wenatchee may pay for itself by the end of your experience.
Tickets are $45 and will include “exclusive wine tastings at six local downtown wineries, food tastings from a variety of downtown restaurants and shopping coupons at participating retail locations.”
Attendees with tickets must be 21 or over to participate in wine tastings. You can buy your tickets online at www.downtownwenatchee.org. For more information about Taste of Downtown, including which businesses will be participating and any updates about the event, you can visit the website or follow the Wenatchee Downtown Association on Instagram or Facebook, @downtownwenatchee.
