La Terraza on the Ave brings Hispanic culture, business, and fun to downtown Wenatchee

Posted

WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Hispanic Business Council announced the upcoming 5th annual “La Terraza on the Ave,” to take place Saturday, May 17, from noon to 9 p.m. on Wenatchee Avenue between Orondo Avenue and Yakima Street, right in front of Centennial Park.

The public event is a celebration of Hispanic culture, small businesses and connection through every means possible — art, dance, food and music.

"La Terraza on the Ave isn’t just a festival, it’s a space where culture, community, and commerce come together. Since its inception, La Terraza on the Ave has served as a critical platform for local entrepreneurs, many of whom do not have brick-and-mortar storefronts and rely on events like ours to connect with customers and grow their business.” said D’Andre Vasquez, Hispanic Business and Community Relations Coordinator for the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The event is scheduled to include live music and folklórico dancing, Latin American food from local vendors, more than 30 minority-owned small business vendors, fun for all ages and even a tequila garden (must be 21+ with ID to enter).

La Terraza on the Ave is a fundraiser to support the Hispanic Business Council in their effort to provide education, resources and advocacy for Hispanic- and Latino-owned businesses in the Valley, and highlight the culture and contributions of the people that make up so much of Wenatchee’s community.
